Personal Biography:

My name is Matthew Nicklin, I am currently a student at Kennesaw State University. I am studying to become a business major and hope to one day be in the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State. My short term goals include making good grades and working my way through the university system. Long term, I would like a career in accounting or finance.
I try and balance my school and social life. I am an active member in Kennesaw State's Nature Bound program, which is a group that does a lot of adventure type activities. I also work part-time doing computer consulting. Its a lot to balance, but I have a lot of fun doing it.

Professional Biography:

I was brought into the working world at a young age. I am originally from California where my father owned several business including a computer store and a restaurant. I received my first computer on my 3rd birthday and have been hooked ever since. I worked for my dad in his computer store after school and on the weekends. He showed me how to run and do everything from sales in the front of the store to repairs in the back and even how to package and ship orders.
I also worked with him in his restaurant. I learned how to cook and clean like never before. Having both of these jobs taught me a lot about customer service and how to run a business. After moving to Georgia I got a part-time job for i2telecom, I worked in customer service. I guided people with their problems they were having with our service and any billing or account issues. Having these jobs taught me the value of hard work and how to interact and deal with people in the business world.

Personal Interests:
I like technology and am always playing with something new. I read the news a lot and try to stay current. I manage my own portfolio, so I am constantly checking stocks and reading financial news.
I am an active member in Kennesaw's Nature Bound club. I have been sky diving, hang glidding, white water Rafting, and caving with the group.
